Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world and is one of the five and the highest Panch Kedar temples located in the mountain range of Tungnath in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. How To Reach
If you are coming from Delhi capital then you have three options to come to Rishikesh by Bus, Train or Air. You can follow either of the routes Dehradun or Rishikesh. Once you reach Rishikesh there is only one mountain route to follow from Rishikesh to Byasi then Byasi to Devprayag and after that finally from Srinagar to Khankra. When you reach Khankra there you will find the famous Khankra Bridge, you have to take right from there and after moving 2 Km you will reach your destination that is Geeta Homestay.
BY BUS
You will find many options of Uttarakhand Tourism buses/Taxi/Tracker from Rishikesh which runs after every half an hour. While traveling from Rishikesh to Srinagar you will enjoy the flora and fauna of the mountains and flowing Ganga beside the road. At Byasi you can see the local market and while heading towards Devprayag you will see Sangam of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. After covering 33 Km from Devprayag you will reach Srinagar. When you will reach Khankra following the Srinagar route, there you will find Khankra Bridge and from there you have to take right and finally reach your destination.
BY TRAIN
Many trains by the name Dehradun Mussoorie Exp/ Dehradun Shatabdi Express will help you to reach Dehradun. You can take any train from Dehradun/Delhi to Rishikesh. Once you reach Rishikesh, you can catch any Uttarakhand Tourism buses/Taxi/Tracker that will follow a beautiful mountain route from Rishikesh to Byasi. Heading towards Devprayag you will see Sangam of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. After covering 33 Km from Devprayag you will reach Srinagar. When you will reach Khankra following the Srinagar route, there you will find Khankra Bridge and from there you have to take the right and finally reach your destination.
BY AIR
If you are coming by Air then you have only option to reach jolly grant airport, which is hardly 23 Km away from Rishikesh. Once you reach Rishikesh, you can catch any Uttarakhand Tourism buses/Taxi/Tracker that will follow a beautiful mountain route from Rishikesh to Byasi. At Byasi you can take a small break and explore the local market. Heading towards Devprayag you will see Sangam of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers. After covering 33 Km from Devprayag you will reach Srinagar. When you will reach Khankra following the Srinagar route, there you will find Khankra Bridge and from there you have to take the right and finally reach your destination.
